Leave it by the door with a pen
Press Print the sign up sheet before back-to-school night or meet the teacher. Each family fills one line and checks how they want to be reached. For more than 20 families, print a second copy or the 25 line sheet, which keeps Student, Parent or guardian and Email.
Sheets that ask one more thing
One sheet has four check boxes under I can help with: Class parties, Field trips, Reading with students, Work at home. Another has a Conference wanted box. The wish list has 12 blank lines: you write an item on each, and a family signs beside it.
- The welcome table sheet is for the front hall: one line a family, with Students and Grades columns.
- No sheet asks for a child's birthday or a home address.
Questions and answers
What goes on an open house sign in sheet?
The teacher, the room and the date at the top, then a line for each family: the student, a parent or guardian, a phone number, an email and the way they prefer to be reached.
Can I use it for an open house that is not at a school?
Yes. Pick Visitor register for any open house in the Sheet menu. It has no school words: Open house at and Date lines, then columns for Name, Phone, Email and Comments.
Can families pick a conference time on the same night?
The Conference wanted sheet only takes a check mark. To give out times, print the parent teacher conference sign up sheet, which has the times printed down the side.
Does the page keep the families' details?
No. Families write on a printed sheet, and that sheet stays with you. Nothing typed on this page is sent, so the site has no names, numbers or emails to keep.
