A week of the literacy block
Press Print the lesson plan. Work across each row: the book for each read aloud, the shared text, the word pattern, who meets in small groups, and the writing lesson. A row you do not teach stays empty.
A language arts lesson plan template for one day
The one-day table sets minutes, what the class does and the text or materials beside the same six parts. The sample fills it in for a made-up fall day.
- Word study week has a row for each day with Activity and Words columns.
- ELA unit over six weeks sets texts beside a reading skill, a writing piece and a language skill.
Questions and answers
Is there a balanced literacy lesson plan template?
Yes. One sheet has a ruled box each for read aloud, shared reading, guided reading, independent reading, word study and writing. The page prints the form and makes no claim for that approach.
Is there a middle school ELA lesson plan template?
Yes. ELA class period plan has lines for a learning target, bell work, read and annotate, discuss, write, language or vocabulary, and an exit slip, for a class taught by the bell.
Is there an ELA lesson plan template PDF?
Yes. Your browser makes it: press print, then switch the printer to Save as PDF. The file shows the sheet that was on screen.
How is this different from the English lesson plan page?
This page plans an elementary literacy block by its parts. The English lesson plan template plans one lesson on a text: before, during and after reading, a writing task and a grammar point.
