Questions and answers
Is this a reading workshop lesson plan template too?
Yes. Both names mean the same routine: a short mini-lesson, a long stretch of independent reading while the teacher confers, and a share at the end. The mini-lesson sheet plans the first part in five steps.
Is there a writers workshop lesson plan template?
Yes. The writers workshop sheet has the same teaching point lines above a table with Writer, Piece and stage, Compliment and Teaching point columns, and Mid-workshop tip and Share lines below.
Is there a reading and writing workshop lesson plan template?
Yes. One sheet sets a Reading workshop column beside a Writing workshop column, with rows for the mini-lesson, mentor text, independent work, conferences and share.
Does the page follow a published program?
No. The forms are our own and name no author, program, published unit or book. Unit and Mentor text are empty lines, and the sample names a kind of book.
