Plan by the measure
Press Print the lesson plan. Give each row one spot: the piece, the measures, the one thing to fix and the section that plays it. Add minutes down the first column until they match the rehearsal. Announcements and Notes for sectionals sit below.
A choir lesson plan template and an orchestra lesson plan template
The choir sheet adds a Vocal warm-ups line, a Voice parts column and a Sight-singing line. The orchestra sheet has boxes to check for first violins, second violins, violas, cellos and basses, and a column for bowing.
- Sectionals plan has six rows for a section, its piece and measures, and who leads.
- Pass-off list has 25 rows with a box to check when a line or scale is passed.
Questions and answers
Is there a beginning band lesson plan template?
Yes. The beginning band sheet has ruled lines for first sounds or a warm-up, a new note or fingering, a new rhythm, lines in the book, who plays alone today, and practice before next class.
Is this a high school band rehearsal lesson plan template?
It fits any level. No blank sheet prints a grade, and the rehearsal week has rows for a warm-up, three pieces and sight-reading under Monday to Friday, with a Concert date line.
Is there an instrumental music lesson plan template for small groups?
Yes. The small-group sheet has Students, Instrument and Date lines and blocks for tone and warm-up, a scale or technique, lesson book lines, spots in the band music and an assignment.
Does the page name pieces or method books?
No. Piece, Method book page and Lines in the book are empty. The sample is a made-up 45-minute rehearsal of a march and a ballad, with no titles.
