Press Print the lesson plan. Write the poses in the order you will teach them, with the minutes and the words you plan to say beside each. Opening and Closing hold how the class begins and ends.
A yoga class lesson plan template in six parts
Prefer to plan by part of the class? A second form has ruled lines from Centering and breath, through standing and seated poses, to Rest and closing. The class flow sheet is the short version: five boxes joined by arrows.
- Write a sequence once on the sequence builder, 16 poses with the side and breaths, then copy the part you need into each class plan.
- Teaching a course? The series plan lists 6 classes with a theme, new poses and review.
- Chair or desk yoga break has 8 rows for a short break in a classroom.
Questions and answers
Is there a kids yoga lesson plan template?
Yes. Kids yoga lesson plan has lines for Class, Date and Theme or story, then blocks for Welcome and breathing game, Warm-up, Story with poses, Pose game, Partner or group pose, and Quiet time.
Is there a blank yoga lesson plan template?
Yes. Only the sample is filled in. The other forms print no pose, style or sequence, so they take whatever you teach.
Is there a sample yoga lesson plan?
Yes. The sample fills the ten rows for a made-up 45 minute class on balance, with poses under their English names and a short cue beside each. It shows a filled-in form and does not teach how to do a pose.
