How it works

Seven pictures that need 4 words
Every picture here has 3 colors except the Camping tent, which has 4. That makes this the page for short lists: 4 known words fill the Sun hat, the Swim trunks, the Baseball cap, the Surfboard, the Swim ring, the Seashell or the Hot dog.
Ready lists and their six sentences
Summer words are sun, hot, swim, sand, pool, sea, fan, camp, hat and shell. The two everyday lists come from: It is so hot today. Let us swim again. I have two new hats. Where did his fan go? Run to that pool! Then we went to camp.
- Shuffle the words keeps the picture and deals 4 other words from the list in the box.
- On the Swim ring only 4 squares stay white, so its leave-white word is read just four times.
Questions and answers
Is there a color by sight word summer answer key?
Yes. The printout has 2 pages: the worksheet, then the picture in full color. The second page is controlled by Answer key on page 2, a ticked box inside More options below the grid.
Can I send a sheet home as a file?
Yes. Press Print this sheet and choose the PDF option in the print dialog; both pages go into one file. Each picture is its own file, so repeat for a second picture with the same list.
Which words are in the everyday lists?
Everyday words 1 has so, today, let, again, have, two and new. Everyday words 2 has where, his, run, to, that, then and went. They come from the six sentences; they follow no published list and no grade.
