How it works
This lined paper with picture box opens on a 4 inch drawing box over wide ruled lines, with a name and date line. Other sheets change the box size or the rule, or put the box beside the lines.

Pick the box and the lines
Press Print picture box paper for the opening sheet. In the Sheet menu, a small box leaves most of the page for writing and a large box takes about half of it. College rule suits older writers. The 1/2 inch rule and the primary lined paper with picture box, which has a dotted midline, suit larger writing.
Box beside the lines
One sheet has a tall box down the left and short lines at the right: lined paper with space for picture and caption side by side. Another turns the page sideways, and a third prints two half sheets to cut apart.
- For a class book, print the sheet with no name line and staple the finished pages down the left edge.
- As handwriting paper with picture box for a first story, pick the 3/4 inch rows: six fit under the box.
Questions and answers
How big is the picture box?
4 inches tall on the opening sheet and as wide as the lines. Other sheets have boxes 2, 3 and 5 1/2 inches tall, and one has a tall box down the left half of the page.
How many lines fit under the box?
With wide rule on Letter, 16 lines fit under the 4 inch box, 21 under the 2 inch box and 11 under the 5 1/2 inch box. A4 is taller and fits 18, 23 and 13.
Is there lined writing paper with picture box and no name line?
Yes. One wide rule sheet has only the 4 inch box and the lines, with nothing printed above the box. It fits 17 lines on Letter and 19 on A4.
Is the writing paper with lines and picture box blank inside the box?
Yes. Every box is an empty outline with no picture printed in it, so it can hold a drawing, a glued photo, a diagram or a map.
Can I save the page as a PDF?
Press the print button and choose Save as PDF as the printer. The file holds the sheet that is on screen, on the paper size you picked.
