How it works

The four square graphic organizer for writing
Choose it when a class is learning to write one paragraph. For a longer paragraph, the sheet with a closing sentence keeps all four boxes for details. Younger grades can write a few words in each box and older grades several sentences.
A four square graphic organizer template for other subjects
Write a heading of your own in each bar: four causes, four steps, four character traits, or a word with its meaning, a picture, an example and a sentence.
- Fill the boxes in number order: across the top, then across the bottom.
- To turn a filled-in four square into a paragraph, copy the center sentence first, then boxes 1 to 4 in order.
