One row for each part of the day
Press Print the lesson plan and write the date at the top. Fill a row for each subject in the order you teach it. A day with fewer blocks fits the 6 row sheet; a fuller one fits 8 rows.
By period, or with the rows named
Two sheets number the rows for a teacher who sees a new class each period: 7 periods or 4 blocks, with Class, Objective, Lesson and Homework columns. The elementary sheet arrives with six rows named, from Morning meeting to Specials.
- The half-day sheet has 4 tall rows, for an early release or a morning-only class.
- One sheet adds three small-group lines under a table of 5 rows.
Questions and answers
What is a daily lesson plan?
It is one teaching day written out block by block: when each subject starts, what students should learn, what they will do and what is needed. This template gives each block a row.
Is there a daily lesson plan template PDF?
Yes. Press the print button, then choose Save as PDF in place of a printer. On an iPhone or iPad, use the share icon in the print screen.
Is there a simple daily lesson plan template?
Yes. Pick Simple daily lesson plan, three columns in the Sheet menu. It is an upright page with 6 rows and wide Subject, Objective and Activities columns.
Does it show a filled-in example?
Yes. The sample sheet is a made-up elementary day of seven blocks, from an 8:30 morning meeting to a read aloud at 2:15, with every column filled in.
