How it works
This music lesson plan template opens on one class: lines for Class, Date and Concept, then ruled blocks for an objective, a warm-up, the song or piece, Sing, Play, Move, Listen, and a closing check.

Plan one class
Press Print the lesson plan. Write the concept at the top and the song or piece under its heading. Sing, Play, Move and Listen each have two lines; leave one empty when a class skips it.
A week by grade, rehearsals and concerts
The teacher's week has a row for Kindergarten and Grade 1 to Grade 5. The rehearsal plan lists Minutes, Piece, Measures and Goal for a band, choir or orchestra, and the concert countdown runs from 6 weeks to go to Concert week.
- The unit list numbers 10 lessons for a recorder or ukulele unit, with a New note or chord column.
- A table sheet sets minutes beside Warm-up, Sing, Play, Move, Listen and Closing.
Questions and answers
Is there a music teacher lesson plan template for a whole week?
Yes. The teacher's week is a sideways page with rows for Kindergarten and Grade 1 to Grade 5 and columns for Concept, Song or piece, Activity and Instruments. A second week sheet has 8 open rows.
Is this an elementary music lesson plan template?
The opening sheet and the week by grade suit elementary general music, where a class sings, plays, moves and listens. The rehearsal plan and concert countdown suit older ensembles.
Does it name songs or a teaching method?
No. Wherever a form asks for a song or piece, the space is blank, and no composer, songbook or method is named. The filled-in sample uses a kind of song, such as a hello song or a two-part round.
What is in the rehearsal plan?
Ensemble and Date lines, a Warm-up line, six rows with Minutes, Piece, Measures and Goal columns, and an Announcements line at the foot.
