Every plural and every collective noun was checked in its Wiktionary entry and every irregular past form in Wiktionary's appendix of English irregular verbs (en.wiktionary.org), read 2026-10-02; a noun with two accepted plurals, such as fish, is left out. Questions and answers

Is there a 2nd grade grammar worksheets pdf?

No file is stored on this page. Press Print worksheet and choose Save as PDF in the print window, and the sheet and its key are saved as one PDF.

What grammar is taught in 2nd grade?

The Common Core language standards for grade 2 name collective nouns (L.2.1a), irregular plurals (L.2.1b), reflexive pronouns (L.2.1c), the irregular past tense (L.2.1d), adjectives and adverbs (L.2.1e) and apostrophes (L.2.2c). The grade on this page is our suggestion.

What is a collective noun?

A collective noun names a group as one thing: a herd of cows, a swarm of bees, a deck of cards, a crew of sailors.

Why are wrong choices such as sitted and mouses printed?

They are the forms a child makes by adding -ed or -s to everything. Circling sat beside sitted, or mice beside mouses, sets the irregular form apart from the rule.
