How it works

This digital classroom timer is digits and nothing else: minutes and seconds. It opens at 10:00. Type any length to the second, or pick a ready-made routine, from a one-minute timed read to a class period.

A classroom digital timer set to the second

Tap the digits and type the time: 130 gives 1:30. Press Start the timer. While it runs, a line under the digits says what time it ends, written the way your device writes times. Full screen fills the board with the digits.

Routines with the seconds worked out

Each ready-made routine sets its own length and shows its cues as words. 90 second partner talk swaps the speakers at 0:45. Four 3 minute stations calls each move. Work for 20, check for 5 says when to stop. The timings are suggestions.

  • The end is silent until you choose a sound, and nothing flashes: the screen says Time is up.
  • Changing tabs or apps closes full screen, so stay on this tab while the class is watching.

Questions and answers

Can I set the digital classroom timer in seconds?

Yes. Tap the digits and type the time to the second: 230 gives 2:30. The shortest ready-made routine is 30 seconds and the longest is 50 minutes.

Does it show what time the countdown ends?

Yes, while it is running. A line under the digits reads Ends at and the clock time, so a class that starts a 10 minute countdown at noon sees 12:10 in the format the device uses.

Is there a timer that shows a shape and no numbers?

Yes. The large visual timer hides the digits and shows a disc that empties, and the sand timer shows a glass you flip.
