How it works
This speech timer opens at 3:00 in large digits. Press 1, 2, 3, 5, 7 or 10 minutes, or type a length to the second. Ready-made routines add a wrap-up cue for speeches, presentations, debate turns and meetings.

What the speaker sees on the clock
1. Pick the length, press Start the timer, then Full screen. 2. At 0:30 the screen says Last 30 seconds, and a dashed frame stays around the digits to the end. 3. After 0:00, press Start again for the next speaker at the same length.
A presentation timer with a cue for questions
Under Ready-made routines, Slides for 10, questions for 5 warns one minute before the questions and then calls them. Group of three with a handover calls Speaker 2 and Speaker 3 in turn. Science project pitch stops the pitch so the visitor can ask questions.
- As a meeting timer, Proposal, then a decision gives one agenda item 5 minutes and asks for the decision at 1:00 left.
- The timer is silent at 0:00 unless you press Sound: off first, so the end does not cut a speaker off.
Questions and answers
How does the speech timer show that a speaker is over time?
At 0:00 the screen says Time is up and the digits become a count-up from +0:00, so a speaker who stops at +0:42 ran 42 seconds over. The count stops at +99:59.
Can it tell me how long my written speech will take?
No. It times a speech while it is given and does not count the words of a script. To find a speech's length, start the timer, read the speech aloud and subtract the time left from the length you set.
Can I set a speech length that is not on a button?
Yes. Tap the time and type the minutes and seconds: 430 gives 4:30. Any length from 10 seconds to 3 hours works. The Last 30 seconds warning shows on countdowns of a minute or more.
Can I use it as a debate timer?
Yes. Under Ready-made routines, Debate opening statement, Debate reply and Debate summary set speaking turns of 3, 2 and 1 minutes, each with one cue. The lengths are examples for a class, so tap the time and type your own format's times.
