How it works
This 11x17 graph paper printable draws 20 grids for Tabloid, 11 by 17 inches, or for A3: 1/4, 1/2 or 1 inch squares, bold inch lines, axes and metric grids. No wide printer? Three sheets tile across 2 Letter pages.

Set the paper size before you print
The grid comes out at true size only when the print dialog's paper size is Tabloid or 11 x 17, or A3 for an A3 sheet. Leave the paper on Letter and the page is cut off or shrunk to about 65 percent: a 1/4 inch square prints near 0.16 inch.
What the bigger sheet holds
An 11 x 17 sheet is two Letter pages side by side, and it folds once to fit a Letter binder. At 1/4 inch to the foot it covers 40 by 64 feet, where a Letter page covers 30 by 40. With 1 inch squares it holds 10 across, so a whole hundred grid fits.
- A3 is a different sheet, about 11.7 by 16.5 inches. Choose A3 under Paper size before printing on it.
- Join a tiled sheet: trim page 1 along its last grid line, then tape it over page 2's blank edge.
- At one square to the foot, a 30 by 24 foot classroom fits the landscape 1/4 inch grid.

What is 11x17 paper called?
In the United States, 11 by 17 inch paper is called Tabloid, and the same sheet turned sideways is called Ledger. Both match the ANSI B size. The nearest international size is A3, slightly wider and about half an inch shorter.

How many squares are on 11x17 graph paper?
The grid area is 10 by 16 inches, which holds 40 by 64 quarter-inch squares (2,560), 20 by 32 half-inch squares (640) or 10 by 16 one-inch squares (160). The 1/10 inch engineering grid holds 16,000.
