How many quarter-inch squares fit
Half an inch stays clear on every side, which leaves 7.5 by 10 inches of a Letter page: 30 by 40 squares. A4 is narrower and taller, 29 by 42. A bold line every 5 squares needs counts that divide by 5, so that sheet holds 25 across on A4.
Print 1/4 inch graph paper for the job
Plain portrait for notes, math and bar graphs. Landscape for floor plans and wide charts. Bold half-inch lines for scale drawings at 2 squares to a foot. The axis sheet for plotting lines, and the 8 by 8 blocks for pixel art.
- Lay a ruler on the first print: 4 squares should measure 1 inch. If not, print at 100%, not Fit to page.
