One small idea in each box
Press Print the lesson plan. Write one play idea for each area and day; a few words is enough. The month sheet spreads the same five areas over four weeks, and the idea bank keeps a list to draw on.
Infant and toddler rooms, one baby, a note home
The mixed-room week gives infants three rows and toddlers three. Plan for one baby has lines for Child, Age in months and Week of. The daily note home prints two to a page for families.
- The blank rows sheet has an Area column to fill in, for a room that names its areas another way.
- The one-day sheet has rows for Morning, Midday and Afternoon and an Outdoors column.
Questions and answers
What goes in an infant lesson plan?
On this template, one play idea a day in each of five areas: movement, talking with songs and books, sensory play, exploring, and people and feelings. Room, Week of and Caregivers lines sit above the table.
Does the template list milestones or ages?
No. No sheet prints a milestone, an age range or what a baby should be doing, and the page gives no advice on feeding, sleep or health. Age in months is a blank line on the one-baby sheet.
Does the daily note home have feeding and nap lines?
No. It has four headings: Today I played with, Songs and books, Something new I tried and Please bring. The page has no form for meals, naps or diapers.
Is there a blank lesson plan for an infant and toddler room?
Yes. The mixed-room week prints empty, with three rows for infants and three for toddlers and a heavier line between them. The blank rows sheet takes any areas you write in.
