What an engineer's pad is ruled with
A bought pad has four, five or ten squares to the inch. Its grid is printed on the back of light green or tan paper and shows through faintly. A home printer cannot do that, so these sheets carry the grid on the front, in gray lines.
Engineering graphing paper for homework
The portrait sheet holds 35 by 50 squares, 7 by 10 inches, on Letter and on A4. Each heavy box is one inch, so a length reads off in inches and fifths. On the sheet with axes they cross on heavy lines.
- Measure five squares on the first print. They should come to 1 inch; if they do not, print at 100%, not Fit to page.
