How it works
This 1/2 inch graph paper has two squares to the inch. Print it plain, with a heavy line every 2 inches or every 5 squares, numbered, with x and y axes, or as 5 by 5 blocks.

How many squares of half inch graph paper fit
Half an inch stays clear on every side. That leaves 15 by 20 squares, 300 in all, on Letter and 14 by 21, 294, on A4. Landscape swaps the two numbers. The half size sheet holds 9 by 15 on Half Letter and 9 by 14 on A5.
What squares this size are for
One digit sits in each square, so the columns of a long multiplication or division stay lined up. The array grid numbers its rows and columns for area and times tables. Each 5 by 5 block is 25 squares.
- Check the first print with a ruler: two squares make 1 inch. If they fall short, print again at 100%, not Fit to page.
