How this list was compiled: Own list of Spanish job words, chosen for this site on 2026-10-11, in three sets of twelve. The spelling, accent marks, feminine form and senses of every word were read that day in the Diccionario de la lengua española of the Real Academia Española (https://dle.rae.es/bombero, the same address pattern for each word), in the copies of those pages kept at web.archive.org, and the English meaning in the word's Spanish entry at Wiktionary (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/bombero, the same pattern). The feminine form printed beside each word is the one the first dictionary's headword gives (maestro, tra; actor, triz; juez, za), and a word it marks m. y f. with one form (dentista, piloto, policía) is printed with el and la. The note after each meaning is our own wording of what those entries say. Licence: own work
