Shark pictures to color by number, told apart by shape and markings
The Great white shark is dark on top with a white belly. The Hammerhead shark is seen from above, so its wide head shows. The Whale shark has pale spots and a blunt head, the Thresher shark a tail as long as its body, and the Sawshark a long snout edged with teeth.
Megalodon color by number: the tooth
Megalodon is extinct and its name means big tooth, so the megalodon worksheet here is the Megalodon tooth: a big black fossil tooth with a brown root beside a small white one. The easy grid takes 3 crayons, yellow, brown and black, and 137 squares.
- Blue is in seven of the eight easy keys, every one but the Megalodon tooth.
- The easy Thresher shark is the purple one: 30 purple squares, with a tail as long as its body.
Questions and answers
Which sharks are in the set?
Five: Great white shark, Hammerhead shark, Whale shark, Sawshark and Thresher shark. The other three pictures are a Fin above the waves, Open jaws seen from the front and a Megalodon tooth.
How do you color a shark when the crayon box has no gray?
On the easy grids the great white and the whale shark are black on top with white bellies, the thresher is purple, the hammerhead brown and the sawshark orange. The detailed grids add gray, and every shark but the sawshark is gray there.
Is the whale shark a whale?
No. It is a shark, and the largest fish alive today. On the easy grid it is black with white spots, and a small yellow fish swims under it.
