How this list was compiled: Our own pixel pictures, drawn square by square for this site on 12 by 12 and 24 by 24 grids. Nothing is traced, scanned or copied from clip art, and no picture shows a character from a film, show, book or game: the dragon and the unicorn are plain storybook animals of our own drawing. The color and square counts in each description were counted from the finished grids. The butterfly and dinosaur facts were checked against Wikipedia in September 2026 and are told in our own words.
