Questions and answers
What is the difference between this and the beach word search?
This page heads offshore, to whales, reefs and currents. The beach word search stays on the sand with towels, shells and piers. Only 8 words appear in both, Jellyfish and Tide among them.
Which ocean animals are in the puzzle?
18 mammal words, 19 fish, 21 invertebrates and 16 seabirds and sea reptiles, from Narwhal and Dugong to Nautilus and Marine Iguana. The Sea Otter clue says it "has the densest fur of any animal".
Are the ocean facts right for a science lesson?
Each clue was checked against English Wikipedia in September 2026 and hedges where the article does. Sunfish is called one of the largest bony fish, not the heaviest. Every fact is in the full list below the tool.
