How it works
This preschool color by number set uses the smallest grid here: 6 by 6, 36 squares, only the numbers 1 and 2. Each of 8 bold pictures also comes as an 8 by 8 grid with up to three numbers.

Two numbers, 36 big squares
Every 6 by 6 sheet has two colors and at most 26 squares to fill; the Lamp is the shortest at 20. On the Door the number 2 appears once, as the yellow knob, so the job is to spot the one square that differs.
Then a third number
Choose the 8 by 8 grid under Size for the same picture on 64 squares. Seven of the eight add a third color, such as the yellow cabin on the Tugboat. The Soccer ball stays at two.
- The Soccer ball is the one picture with white inside it: only the patches and the grass are colored.
- The 8 by 8 Door has a number in all 64 squares, with no white at all.
- A 6 by 6 square prints twice as wide as a square on a 12 by 12 sheet.
Questions and answers
Which numbers does a child need to know?
Only 1 and 2 for every 6 by 6 sheet. The 8 by 8 sheets add the number 3, except the Soccer ball, which keeps to 1 and 2.
Can a child color these on a tablet instead of paper?
Yes. Choose a color in the key and tap each square that has its number. Check my coloring puts a dashed frame around any square that is wrong, and a finished picture gets a check mark.
What comes after these color by number pages?
The starter set has 8 other pictures on 12 by 12 and 24 by 24 grids. For shapes without numbers, there are color the shapes worksheets.
