How it works
This ice cream color by number printable set has 8 pixel pictures: 5 frozen treats plus a Donut, a Cookie and a Lollipop, so it is really a treats page. Each comes in two grid sizes.

Five are ice cream, three are other treats
The Ice cream cone, Sundae, Ice pop, Ice cream sandwich and Milkshake are the frozen five. The flavors change with the size: the easy Milkshake is brown and the detailed one pink with red specks. The Donut's frosting switches from brown to pink the same way.
Brown for the easy grids, pink for the detailed ones
Every easy grid uses brown, from 4 squares of stick on the Ice pop to 67 squares of frosting on the Donut. Six of the 8 detailed grids need a pink pencil, and the detailed Donut alone has 223 pink squares. The detailed Ice pop and Cookie stay inside the basic 8 crayons.
- The easy Cookie needs only 2 crayons, orange and brown, the fewest on this page.
- Someone will color the Donut hole: it and the Ice pop shine are empty squares, meant to stay white.
- Each is one page of Letter or A4. For party copies untick Answer key on page 2 under More options, or the answers print too.
Questions and answers
Why is there a donut on an ice cream page?
Because 8 different ice creams at 12 by 12 squares would mostly be one cone in new colors. So 5 pictures are frozen treats, and the other 3 places go to a Donut, a Cookie and a Lollipop, which belong on the same party table.
What should I print for early finishers, and what for a full period?
For early finishers, print an easy grid under 85 squares: Lollipop 74, Milkshake 79, Ice cream cone 80 or Sundae 84. For a full period, the detailed Ice cream sandwich has 402 squares and the detailed Donut 400.
What crayons does the ice cream cone need?
Four on the easy grid: brown, yellow, orange and red. The detailed cone adds pink and light green for its two scoops. For a July party, print the summer pixel pictures or the 4th of July set too.
