How it works
Every Easter color by number printable here is a pixel picture: a grid of numbered squares that turns into a decorated egg, a bunny or a hot cross bun. There are 8, each in two sizes.

What is in the Easter set
In More options, three groups hold the 8 pictures: Egg hunt and parade (Decorated egg, Basket, Bonnet), Easter animals (Bunny, Chick, Lamb) and Easter table (Carrot, Hot cross bun). Under Size, every Easy 12 by 12 key stays inside the basic box of 8 crayons. Every Detailed 24 by 24 grid adds a color from outside that box: pink and light blue each appear in 6 of the 8 detailed keys.
White shapes on white paper
A lamb is white, and so is the paper. White squares print empty, so the Lamb stands under a full blue sky. Pupils color the sky, the grass, the black face and the legs, and the fleece appears by itself. The Bunny's 2 front teeth work the same way.
- For an egg hunt, pupils color and cut out easy Decorated egg sheets, then hide them around the room.
- Printing the Lamb? Tick Put 0 in the white squares in More options, and each fleece square prints a 0 to skip.
- Each prints on one page of Letter or A4. Untick Answer key on page 2 under More options to skip the key.
Questions and answers
Which Easter picture is quickest to color?
The Carrot: 66 squares on the easy grid and 252 on the detailed one. The Hot cross bun takes longest at both sizes, 112 and 448. For pictures without the holiday, print the spring pixel pictures.
How many crayons does each Easter sheet need?
Easy grids need 3 to 5: the Carrot only green, orange and brown, the Decorated egg, Basket, Bonnet and Chick 5 each. Detailed grids run from 3 colors, for the brown, pink and black Bunny, to 8 for the Basket.
Why is a hot cross bun in an Easter set?
It is an Easter food in Britain and other Commonwealth countries: a spiced bun with currants and a cross on top, eaten by tradition on Good Friday. Here the crust is brown, the cross yellow and the currants black.
