A peregrine, a kestrel and a gyrfalcon
Most sheets show a peregrine falcon: black head, blue back, white chest with black bars. The Hovering kestrel is the orange one with blue wings, and the White gyrfalcon is white with black flecks on a brown rock.
Every sheet leaves some paper white
No easy sheet colors all 144 squares: a chest, a belly, a chick's down or the sky stays white. The Falcon on a glove colors the most, 133, and the Falcon in flight the fewest, 68, with 3 crayons: black, yellow and blue.
- Yellow and black are in all 8 easy keys, and red is in none.
Questions and answers
What is a falcon's dive called?
A stoop: the peregrine falcon's high-speed hunting dive. The Falcon in a dive shows it head first with folded wings across an orange sky, in 4 crayons and 130 squares on the easy grid.
Why is the falcon's chest left blank?
The chest is white with black bars, so the squares between the bars carry no number and stay paper white. To print a 0 in each, check Put 0 in the white squares in More options.
How do the falcon sheets print?
One sheet to a Letter or A4 page, with its crayon key. The finished picture prints in color on page 2 as the answer key unless you uncheck Answer key on page 2 in More options.
