Seven castles and the tools that build them
Seven sheets hold a sandcastle or a sand tower; the eighth is the Bucket and shovel. On the easy grids four have water as well as sand: a moat, a sea at sunset, a curling wave and the sea behind the starfish.
Six crayons cover the whole easy set
Yellow, orange and blue are in all 8 easy keys; brown, red and black fill in the rest, and no sheet needs green or purple. The Sandcastle with a flag and the Sandcastle at sunset color all 144 squares; the Sandcastle under a beach umbrella is the quickest at 83.
- The flag on the opening sheet is only 3 red squares beside 54 squares of blue sky.
- On the Detailed 24 by 24 grids in More options, pink joins every key, mostly as shells in the sand.
Questions and answers
How do I print the sandcastle color by number?
Press Print this sheet. It prints on one Letter or A4 page with its crayon key, and the colored answer key follows on page 2. Uncheck Answer key on page 2 in More options for the sheet alone.
Which crayons does the sandcastle need?
Five on the easy Sandcastle with a flag: yellow for the walls, orange for the windows and the beach, brown for the door and the flagpole, red for the flag and blue for the sky. All are in a basic box of 8.
Is there a bucket and shovel to color?
Yes. Bucket and shovel is a red bucket with a yellow handle beside a blue shovel standing in yellow sand: 4 crayons and 91 squares on the easy grid, with the sky left white.
