How much of each sheet stays white

Every easy sheet leaves 8 to 20 of its 144 squares white. The Sleeping skunk leaves the most, 20 for its stripes and the Z above it, so it is the quickest to color. The Skunk at night and the Spotted skunk handstand leave 8.

Seven striped skunks and one spotted skunk

Seven pictures show a skunk with one broad stripe. The eighth is a spotted skunk on its front paws. Spotted skunks are fairly small black skunks patterned with white stripes and blotches.

  • Black and red are in all 8 easy keys; on six sheets red is one square, the nose.
  • The easy Skunk face and Skunk kit take 3 crayons, the fewest.

Questions and answers

How do you color the white stripe on a skunk?

You leave it. The stripe squares carry no number and print empty, so the paper is the white. Check Put 0 in the white squares in More options to print a 0 in each, and the key then ends with leave white.

What is a baby skunk called?

A kit. The Skunk kit on this page is a baby skunk seen from the front, with a white stripe down its face, two white paws and a striped tail curling up beside it.

Do the skunk sheets print with an answer key?

Yes. Each sheet fits one Letter or A4 page, and the colored answer key follows on page 2. Uncheck Answer key on page 2 in More options to print the sheet alone.

How this list was compiled: Our own pixel pictures, drawn square by square for this site on 12 by 12 and 24 by 24 grids in October 2026. Nothing is traced, scanned or copied from clip art, and no picture shows a brand, a logo or a character from a film, show, book or game. The skunks are plain animals of our own drawing. The facts in the Skunk with its tail up, Skunk at night and Spotted skunk handstand descriptions, the name of a baby skunk and the spotted skunk's markings were checked against Wikipedia in October 2026. The color and square counts were counted from the finished grids. Licence: own work
