Three levels, from egg to periwinkle
Level 1 is for kindergarten and first grade: short words (hop, dye), bunnies and chicks (hare, fluff) and colors and patterns (dotted, striped). Level 2, about second to fourth grade, has the egg hunt (wicker, clues), dyeing eggs (dipped, speckled) and plurals (bunnies, lilies). Level 3, fifth grade and up, has the party (decorating, shredded) and colors and crafts (aquamarine, embroidery). The grades are only our suggestion.
Dye, dyed, dyeing
List 5 keeps the e of dye before ing, so dyeing eggs is not dying. Type died for dyed and the results say the word sounds the same. Easter in List 7 needs its capital until Capitals count is unchecked under Voice, speed and marking.
- Bunnies and lilies change y to i before es; List 6 has both.
- For Easter or spring spelling words together, uncheck List 1 and check List 6 under Review test from several lists.
Questions and answers
Which are the Easter spelling words 4th grade classes can use?
Level 2, Lists 4 to 6: hunted, tiptoed, eggshell, speckled, ducklings and goslings. The grade is only our suggestion, and Edit this list changes any word.
Easter spelling words grade 5: which lists?
Level 3, Lists 7 and 8. Among the longest are marshmallow, aquamarine, periwinkle and embroidery; turquoise and gingham are shorter but tricky.
Is this an Easter spring spelling word list?
Partly. The chicks, lambs, lilies and pastel colors belong to spring as much as to Easter. No word here is about faith; the lists stay with the egg hunt and the party.
