Where the week breaks

On Letter, page 1 holds Monday to Thursday and page 2 Friday to Sunday. Six names print twice across a row. Wednesday, the longest at 9 letters, prints once. To fit all 7 days on 1 page, open More options and clear Add an empty row to write without help.

The same 7 days, mixed

Set What goes on the sheet to Unscramble and each day prints as loose small letters under a word box. Missing letters drops the hard part: the d and n of Wednesday, the u and r of Saturday. Sort by list mixes 5 days, 5 months and 5 time words above 3 headings. Each fills 1 page.

  • Under More options, set What to practice to Words or sentences. The page opens on Today is Monday.
  • Type Today is alone and only those 2 words are dotted. The child writes the day after them.
  • The 12 months take 3 pages, or 2 without the empty row. Months with 30 days is a list too.

Questions and answers

Our calendar starts on Sunday. Can the sheet?

Yes. The list runs Monday to Sunday, the order of the ISO 8601 standard. Calendars in the United States, Canada and Japan put Sunday first. Type the 7 days in your order in Your words, one per line. They print in the order typed.

How do you spell Wednesday?

W-e-d-n-e-s-d-a-y, 9 letters. The usual way to say it skips the first d, so that d is easy to leave out. The name is Old English for Woden's day. Pick Missing letters and the sheet leaves out the d and n to fill in.

Why do the days start with a capital?

In English the names of days and months take a capital anywhere in a sentence; many other languages write them small. So the days, the months and Mon to Sun have a capital here. The time words and the 4 seasons do not.
