How it works
These kindergarten cut and paste activity sheets open on the numbers 1 to 20 in four rows of boxes, with eight boxes empty. The missing numbers are tiles along the bottom, to cut out and paste where they belong.

Five things to put in order
Under More options, Kind of sheet changes the run. Numbers 1 to 20 is the opening sheet. Capital letters and Lowercase letters print the alphabet in boxes with gaps. Days of the week and Months of the year print a numbered list with a paste box for each missing word.
Kindergarten printables, cut and paste: how many tiles
Missing sets the number of tiles, from 3 up to the whole run. Set shortens the numbers to 1 to 10, 11 to 20 or a run of ten, and the alphabet to either half. Days of the week runs Monday to Sunday and opens with all seven days as tiles until Missing is turned down.
- The tiles are mixed, so they never print in counting order or ABC order.
- Each setting prints one fixed sheet: the opening one leaves out 1, 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 17 and 19.
Questions and answers
Which cut and paste worksheets for kindergarten use letters?
Capital letters and Lowercase letters, under Kind of sheet. Each prints A to Z in boxes with some left empty, and the missing letters as tiles. For capitals matched to lowercase, the letter matching worksheets have a Cut and paste setting too.
What is on the answer key of a cut and paste sheet?
The whole run with nothing missing, as a second page. On the number and letter sheets each pasted box is drawn with a heavier edge. It prints last unless you untick Add an answer key as the last page under More options.
Can children write the missing numbers instead?
Yes, with Answer by set to Pencil only: the tiles go, the numbers print ten to a row, and each empty box is filled in by hand.
Does this page sort pictures by beginning sound or build words?
No. Every sheet here puts a run in order: numbers, letters, days or months. For words built from letter tiles, see sight word cut and paste.
