Seven lists for the whole wedding calendar
Wedding Planning suits a shower, with Registry, Fitting, Tasting and RSVP. Wedding Party and Dress and Flowers fit a rehearsal dinner. Wedding Ceremony, Wedding Reception and Wedding Traditions belong to the day, and Anniversary Gifts waits for the 25th. To put the couple and the date on the sheet, retype the title above the grid.
Facts hidden in the clues
The rhyme that begins with something old was in print by 1876 with four items. The sixpence in the bride's shoe is a later Victorian line. Honeymoon is attested since 1546, and the tuxedo is named after Tuxedo Park, New York. Wedding Traditions reaches past one culture, with Chuppah, Henna, Lasso, Broom and Garland.
- For a 25th or 50th party, pick Anniversary Gifts, then tick Show clues, not words. Guests match gifts to years.
- Short and Easy, from Bride and Groom to Cake and Kiss, suits the kids' table.
Questions and answers
Is this wedding word search free for any number of guests?
Yes. Print as many copies as you have guests. The sheet comes out as two pages on Letter or A4, the puzzle and then the answer key. For a print shop, press Print or save as PDF and choose Save as PDF.
Can I add the couple's names?
Yes. Type the names, the city or the month at the end of the word list, one at a time, and the grid rebuilds with them inside.
Which list has the anniversary gifts?
Anniversary Gifts, 22 of them by year. On the US list paper is the 1st, silver the 25th, gold the 50th and platinum the 70th. Silver and gold have been recorded in Germanic countries since the 1500s, and an 1858 almanac already suggested paper.
Why is Bridesmaid missing?
Bride sits inside it, and one run of letters would then hold two answers. Groomsman and Bridegroom are out too. Drinks, garters and bachelor party words are left off because children often share the table. Type any word you miss at the end of the word list.
