Five sets, from one step to both sides
One-Step Equations has x + 17 = 43 and x ÷ 3 = 23. Two-Step Equations has 5x − 3 = 27. Variables on Both Sides has 4x + 11 = 2x + 97. Equations With Parentheses has 3(x + 2) = 27. Negative Numbers has −4x = 8, where the answer is NEGATIVETWO.
How the answers are written
Every solution is an integer from −10 to 99, spelled with no space or hyphen: 21 is TWENTYONE. A slip shows up at once, because the letters will not fit the crossing answer. No number is the answer to two clues.
- Students who finish early can check each answer by putting it back into its equation.
