Three math unscramble worksheets
Easy is 14 first words, among them Plus, Equal, Half, Odd, Even and Tally. Operations has the answer words Product, Quotient, Difference and Remainder, with Factor, Fraction and Percent. Geometry runs from Angle and Perimeter to Radius, Diameter and Symmetry. Choose one under Start from a list; New scramble deals another ten.
Hints that define the word
The hint is the meaning a pupil should know: a digit is any one of the symbols 0 to 9, percent means out of one hundred, a polygon is a closed flat shape with straight sides. The meanings follow Wikipedia's article on each term.
- To make it a quiz, switch off the word bank under More options and leave the meanings on.
- Sum is on Easy; Difference, Product and Quotient are on Operations. After the sheets, ask which of the four operations each one answers.
Questions and answers
Do the math unscramble worksheets come with answers?
Yes. Each of the three lists prints as a worksheet of ten scrambled math words, with the answer key on a page of its own, on Letter or A4 paper. To leave the key off, untick Print the answer key under More options.
Why are Circle, Triangle and Decimal not on the worksheets?
Their letters also spell cleric, integral and medical, so a pupil could write a second right answer. Times (items), Solve (loves) and Shape (heaps) were left out for the same reason. Angle stays: its hint rules out angel.
What grade is the unscramble math words worksheet for?
Easy suits grades 1 and 2. Operations fits grades 3 to 5, when Quotient, Remainder and Numerator come up, and Geometry fits grades 4 to 6. That is our suggestion, not a standard.
