How it works
These matching activity sheets for preschoolers open with four pictures on the left and the same four, in another order, on the right. A child joins each pair with a line.

Three kinds of matching sheet
Open More options for Kind of sheet. Picture to picture is the opening sheet. Shape to shape is a matching shapes worksheet: each shape, such as a star or a pentagon, has a smaller partner, and some partners are turned. Number to dots pairs the numerals 1 to 10 with that many dots.
Pre-K worksheets, matching by cut and paste
Set Answer by to Cut and paste, and the partners print as tiles along the bottom, to cut out and paste beside each picture. Pairs starts at 4; a sheet prints 10 at most, 9 on Shape to shape.
- The line of words at the top is for the adult; the sheet itself has pictures, shapes, numerals and dots only.
Questions and answers
Do these matching worksheets for preschoolers need any reading?
No. The child looks at a picture, a shape or a numeral on the left and finds its partner on the right. The only words are one line of directions at the top for the adult to read aloud.
Is there a number matching sheet?
Yes. Under More options, choose Number to dots in Kind of sheet. Each numeral from 1 to 10 on the left has a group of that many dots on the right, in a different order.
Is there an answer key?
Yes. Under More options, press See the answers to look at it on screen. It also prints after the sheet unless you untick Add an answer key as the last page.
