15 pages

Fall 4

September to November: leaves and apples, Halloween, Veterans Day and Thanksgiving.

Winter 4

December to February: Christmas, a page of Christmas times tables, snow days and Valentine's Day.

Spring 4

March and April: St. Patrick's Day, Easter, the first flowers and Earth Day.

Summer and year-round themes 3

A summer review pack and the Fourth of July, plus dinosaurs, ice cream and other themes for any week.

The week before a holiday is a hard week to teach: assemblies cut into the schedule, and the math still has to happen. Each page in this set holds story problems written around one holiday or season: pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving, mittens for winter, egg cartons for Easter.

More about these tools

Open a page, choose a sheet in the Sheet type menu and press Make a new sheet. The stories stay and the numbers change, so a second version for the next class takes one press. Most pages run from kindergarten to grade 5. The dinosaur page stops at grade 2, and the Christmas times tables page has a story sheet for each table from 2 to 12. Every sheet prints with its answer key on a page of its own. Where a sheet states a fact, such as the nine players on a baseball team, the fact was checked first.
