From Brasstown Bald to the Golden Isles
Georgia Mountains and Rivers starts at Brasstown Bald and Springer, where the Appalachian Trail begins, and follows the Chattahoochee and Altamaha south to the Okefenokee. Georgia Coast and Islands picks up there: Tybee Island, Jekyll Island, Sapelo and Cumberland, with Tabby, Geechee and Salt Marsh.
The state motto, word by word
Georgia State Symbols hides Wisdom, Justice and Moderation, the words of the motto on the state seal, beside Peach, Brown Thrasher, Cherokee Rose and Live Oak. Adoptable Dog is there too: the state dog is any pet waiting in a shelter.
- Easy Georgia has the words of 3 to 5 letters, such as Rome, Macon, Peach, Pecan, Grits, Mule and Tabby.
- For younger children take words off the list until 8 are left and leave the level on Easy: words then run across and down only.

Peach (state fruit), Brown Thrasher (state bird), Cherokee Rose (state flower), Live Oak (state tree), Peanut (state crop), Largemouth Bass (state fish), Gopher Tortoise (state reptile), Right Whale (state marine mammal) and Sweet Onion, for the Vidalia onion, the state vegetable.
Who is in the Georgia History list?
Oglethorpe, who founded the colony in 1733, Tomochichi, the Yamacraw leader who welcomed him, King George, Gwinnett, Juliette Low, Roosevelt and Carter. New Echota, Syllabary and Creek stand for the Cherokee and Muscogee nations.
