Seven lists in textbook order

Under Start from a list sit Colonial America (35), American Revolution (50), Constitution and New Nation (37), Westward Expansion (43), Civil War Era (24), Industry and Immigration (27) and Twentieth Century (33). Civil War Era leans on causes and aftermath, since the war itself has its own Civil War word search. The Constitution word search and the government word search go further than Constitution and New Nation.

Turn the sheet into a review

Tick Show clues, not words, in More options. Each word gives way to what it means or when it happened: "A member of the colonial militia trained to be ready to fight at a minute's notice" is Minuteman. About 16 clues fit under one grid.

  • For grades 3 and 4, click Easy US History and 8 words: 35 short words such as Flag and Jazz.
  • The 62 entries with a space lose it in the grid: Gold Rush is GOLDRUSH, Bill of Rights BILLOFRIGHTS.
  • For grades 6 to 8, click Hard US History and press Hard: Reconstruction, 14 letters, may then run backwards.
