How it works

Fall bingo cards, free printable for a class: the page opens on 6 cards of 5 × 5, each drawing 24 of 48 fall words around a free center. No word names a holiday, so the set works all season.

Call the word or the clue

Each call shows a word and its clue: Acorn, the nut of an oak tree, sitting in a small cup. With young children, say the word. For a harder game, read only the clue and let the class work out which square to cover.

Four groups of words

Leaves and trees, farm and harvest, animals, and weather, clothes and treats. The tree words alone, from Acorn and Bark to Trunk and Twig, can open a science lesson, and the ten animals run from Bear to Turkey.

  • For kindergarten, shrink the grid to 3 × 3: each card then holds 8 words around the free center.

Questions and answers

Are these fall bingo cards free to print?

Yes, with no sign-up. Print up to 60 different cards, 1, 2 or 4 to a page on Letter or A4, and a call sheet that lists every word beside its clue.

What words are on fall bingo cards?

Things children see in the season: Leaf, Acorn, Rake, Pumpkin, Scarecrow, Squirrel, Frost and Sweater are eight of the 48. The full list, with every clue, is under the cards.

Does the set have Halloween or Thanksgiving words?

No. Every word is about the season itself, and Turkey is on the list as a bird. To add holiday words for a class party, retype any square and the new word goes on every card that held the old one.
