Print gives a blank worksheet, and the colored answer key on page 2 when that box is ticked. Colors you fill in on screen stay on screen. By keyboard: the arrow keys move around the grid, Enter colors a square, typing an answer colors it by that answer and Backspace clears it.

How it works

A winter multiplication color by number sheet hides its picture behind times table facts: solve a square, find the product in the key, pick up that crayon. The Log cabin opens with 64 facts from the 2 to 10 tables.

Winter addition color by number, same pictures

More options, under the grid, changes the skill. Quick settings has Add and subtract within 20 and Subtract within 10 beside a times table set and a division set, and Problems lists 7 kinds, so one Log cabin serves a winter math color by number lesson in any of the four operations.

Snow is the paper

The Polar bear, the snow on the Log cabin and the flakes round the Street lamp in the snow are white squares against a blue or purple sky. They hold facts too, and the last line of the key reads leave white.

  • The easy Polar bear, Icicles and Frosted window need 2 crayons each, and no winter picture needs more than 4.
  • The Frosted window is the longest easy sheet to color: 60 of its 64 squares take a crayon.

Questions and answers

Where is the winter subtraction color by number setting?

Subtract within 10 is under Quick settings in More options; with Problems on Subtraction the limit can also be 20, 50 or 100. The title of the sheet changes to Color by difference.

Can I print a winter color by number addition and subtraction sheet?

Yes. Press Add and subtract within 20 under Quick settings. Sums and differences are mixed in one grid, and each answer still belongs to one crayon only.

Which setting suits a winter math first grade color by number?

Add and subtract within 20 matches the wording of Common Core grade 1: add and subtract within 20, with fluency within 10. Subtract within 10 is the smaller step. The grade is a guide; the choice is the teacher's.

Can the times tables turn into a winter division color by number?

Yes. Divide by 2 to 5 is a quick setting, and Problems has Division and Multiply and divide for any tables from 1 to 12. Each division comes out with no remainder.

Does a sheet print with its answer key?

Yes. The colored picture prints as page 2 because Answer key on page 2 is checked when the page opens. Uncheck it in More options for a class set without keys.

How this list was compiled: Our own pixel pictures of winter things, drawn square by square for this page on 8 by 8 and 12 by 12 grids in October 2026. Nothing is traced, scanned or copied from clip art, and no picture shows a brand, a logo or a character from a film, show, book or game. The descriptions say what is drawn and state no other fact. The square and color counts were counted from the finished grids. Licence: own work
