The Statue of Liberty was given to the United States by the French people and was dedicated in October 1886.

What the easy grid leaves out

On the 12 by 12 Statue of Liberty she is 72 green squares against 64 blue ones, so the tablet is left out and each ray of the crown is one square wide. The detailed grid adds the tablet, her face and a cloud.

  • Green is in all 8 easy keys.
  • Three sheets leave the sky white: Statue on Liberty Island, The statue then and now and Ferry passing the statue.

Questions and answers

Why is the Statue of Liberty green?

Her skin is copper. It was a dull copper color when the statue was built, and by 1906 a green coat, called a patina, had covered all of it. The statue then and now draws both colors side by side.

Which Statue of Liberty sheet is the quickest to color?

Statue on Liberty Island: 58 easy squares, the fewest on the page. The tablet and Liberty's crown have the shortest keys, three crayons each: blue, green and black.

Is there a Statue of Liberty sheet for the 4th of July?

Yes: Statue and fireworks, under a purple night sky. The 4th of July set has a flag, the Liberty Bell and two more fireworks.

How this list was compiled: Our own pixel pictures, drawn square by square for this site on 12 by 12 and 24 by 24 grids in October 2026. Nothing is traced, scanned or copied from clip art, and each picture is a simplified drawing, not a plan of the statue: the easy Statue of Liberty leaves out the tablet, and the easy Liberty's crown draws five rays. The facts about the statue (the gift from France and the 1886 dedication, her torch and tablet, the date on the tablet, the copper that turned green, the gold on the flame, the island's old name, the ferries) were checked in the Wikipedia article Statue of Liberty in October 2026. The color and square counts were counted from the finished grids. Licence: own work
