Three sheets for a class movie day

The Movie ticket, the Cup with a lid and a straw and the Clapperboard go with the five popcorn sheets for a class movie reward. No sheet carries a word, so the ticket has a star where the writing would be.

Why the pot is popping

A popcorn kernel holds a little water inside a hard hull. Heat turns the water to steam, the steam presses on the hull, and the hull bursts: that is the pop. The Pot of popping corn shows the moment after, with 16 yellow squares of popcorn in the air.

  • The Box of popcorn prints its white stripes empty: 24 squares take no crayon.
  • Movie ticket and Pot of popping corn color all 144 easy squares.

Questions and answers

Which popcorn color by number sheet is the quickest?

The Cup with a lid and a straw: 67 easy squares, the fewest on the page, because its background is left white. The Clapperboard has the shortest key, two crayons: yellow and black.

Which crayons does the box of popcorn need?

Four, numbered 1 to 4: blue for the background, yellow for the popcorn, orange for three pieces in the heap and red for the stripes. The detailed grid has five: light blue for the background, and blue for a band on the box.

How do you color white popcorn?

You color around it. One piece of popcorn is white paper inside a blue background, with 17 yellow squares in its folds and 4 brown ones for the hull. Check Put 0 in the white squares in More options to print a 0 in each.

How this list was compiled: Our own pixel pictures, drawn square by square for this site on 12 by 12 and 24 by 24 grids in October 2026. Nothing is traced, scanned or copied from clip art, and no box, cup, ticket or cart carries a brand, a name or a word. The two facts on the page (what a popped kernel is called, and why a kernel pops) were checked in the Wikipedia article Popcorn in October 2026. The color and square counts were counted from the finished grids. Licence: own work
