How it works
This number line printable has positive and negative numbers on one line: −10 to 10, five lines to a sideways page, with a heavier mark at zero. The Sheet menu goes from −5 to 5 up to −100 to 100.

Read the line from zero
Negative numbers sit to the left of zero and positive numbers to the right, and a number farther right is greater: −3 is to the right of −7. A number and its opposite, such as −4 and 4, are the same number of marks from zero.
Use it for sums
To add −3 + 5, start at −3 and hop five marks to the right to land on 2. To add a negative number, hop left: 4 + (−6) ends on −2.
- For a wall line, print −20 to 20 in four rows of ten, cut the rows apart and tape them end to end.
- The fill-in sheet writes only −10, 0 and 10, so pupils number the rest.
