Eight insects in three groups
Every bug here is an insect, an animal with three pairs of jointed legs. Three hop or crawl: Green grasshopper, Caterpillar on a twig and Praying mantis. Three are shown from above with their wings: Blue dragonfly, Housefly and Firefly at night, which is a beetle. Two more beetles have jaws or a horn: Stag beetle and Rhinoceros beetle.
Grasshopper, caterpillar and dragonfly color by number
The Green grasshopper has 84 squares to color, the Caterpillar on a twig 78 and the Blue dragonfly 100, with four wings that stay white. The Praying mantis is the quickest sheet at 55 squares, and the Stag beetle needs only 2 crayons, brown and black.
- Firefly at night is the only easy sheet with no white square: 94 of its 144 squares are the purple night.
Questions and answers
Are these color by number insects, or other bugs too?

Yes. Open More options and choose Detailed 24 by 24: the Blue dragonfly grows to 476 squares in 6 colors, with gray veins on the wings and light blue bands down the body.
