How it works

A baby shower word scramble to print for every guest: three lists of 10 baby words from the nursery, the diaper bag and the first weeks at home, with a hint under each.

Read the full guide

Crib, lullaby, bassinet

The easy list is short nursery words: Crib, Bib, Burp, Stork. Medium, the opening sheet, holds Onesie, Lullaby, Pacifier and Diaper bag. The hard list has the big gear and the long words: Bassinet, Changing table, Pediatrician.

Run it as a shower game

Print one sheet per guest and keep the key yourself. Start everyone together and stop when the first guest finishes. For round two, New scramble jumbles the same nursery words a new way.

  • For a quick tiebreak, read a hint aloud and take the first correct shout.

Questions and answers

Which nursery words are in this baby word scramble?

Thirty in three lists. Easy has Crib, Bib, Teddy and Bottle; Medium has Booties, Stroller, Nursery and Newborn; Hard has High chair, Car seat, Teething ring and Baby monitor.

Is there an answer sheet for the host?

The key prints on its own page after the guests' puzzle. To print the puzzle alone, untick Print the answer key under More options.

How do you play word scramble at a baby shower?

Hand each guest a sheet face down. On go, everyone turns it over and unscrambles. The first to finish, or the most right when time is called, wins the prize; read the key aloud to check.

Can I add the parents' names to the shower sheet?

Yes, along with a due month or a nickname. Type them over the words on the sheet, or in its last line, and the sheet follows as you type.
