How it works
This angle vocabulary worksheet prints twelve terms down the left and their meanings, mixed up, down the right. Three sets cover the kinds of angle, pairs of angles, and parallel lines cut by a transversal.

A lines and angles vocabulary worksheet in three sets
Set opens on Kinds of angle: vertex, ray, degree, protractor, and acute, right, obtuse, straight and reflex angle. Pairs of angles has adjacent, vertical, complementary and supplementary angles and linear pair.
Parallel lines cut by a transversal vocabulary worksheet
The third set prints transversal, parallel lines, corresponding angles, and alternate interior, alternate exterior and consecutive interior angles, with perpendicular, skew lines, coplanar and collinear. Under the tool each term has an example.
- The sheet prints words and meanings, with no drawing of the angles.
Questions and answers
What are the types of angles?
By size: an acute angle is less than 90 degrees, a right angle is exactly 90, an obtuse angle is between 90 and 180, a straight angle is 180, a reflex angle is between 180 and 360, and a full angle is 360.
What is the difference between complementary and supplementary angles?
Complementary angles add up to 90 degrees, such as 30 and 60. Supplementary angles add up to 180 degrees, such as 110 and 70. A linear pair is two supplementary angles side by side on a line.
What angles are formed when a transversal cuts parallel lines?
Corresponding angles, alternate interior angles and alternate exterior angles, which are equal in each pair, and consecutive interior angles, which add up to 180 degrees.
Is an answer key included?
Yes. A second page repeats the sheet and draws a line from each term to the meaning that fits it. Under More options a check box takes the key off.
