One list for the two national parks
Yellowstone and Grand Teton has Old Faithful, Geyser, Mud Pot, Fumarole, Caldera and Thermophile for an earth science unit, and Lamar Valley, Jenny Lake and Oxbow Bend for the map. Steamboat here is a geyser, the tallest active one in the world.
Why the motto is Equal Rights
Wyoming History and Trails explains the nickname Equality State in three entries: Suffrage, Esther Morris and Nellie Ross. Women could vote here from 1869, and the clue for each woman says what she was first to do.
- Easy Wyoming has the 27 words of 3 to 5 letters: Cody, Lusk, Elk, Wolf, Pika, Jade, Rodeo, Bison and Butte among them.
- Ten Sleep is a real town. Its name counts the nights a journey from Fort Laramie took.
- Sacagawea is spelled as on the golden dollar, the state coin.
