A famous set of seven tapestries from about 1500 shows a unicorn hunt, and the faint constellation Monoceros carries the Greek name for unicorn.
- Hippogriff, half eagle and half horse, was invented by an Italian poet for a poem published in 1516.
- After a Unicorn Legends sheet, pupils can draw a coat of arms held by two animals, like Scotland's two unicorns.
