Lists for a group project
Team Roles names the jobs a group hands out: Recorder, Timekeeper, Reporter, Facilitator and Checker. Talking It Through has Brainstorm, Compromise and Consensus. Trust and Support has Rely, Praise and Credit, and Getting the Job Done has Divide, Assign, Delegate and Handoff.
Teams in Action
This list takes teamwork outside the classroom: Relay and Baton, Orchestra and Conductor, Hive and Colony, Tug of war, Bucket brigade and Barn raising. Its clues carry checked facts: football's first huddle was formed in 1894 at a school for the deaf, and geese fly in a V that some scientists think saves energy.
- Hand out Team Roles before a project, and let each group circle the roles it will use.
