Five themed lists, one just for school
Your pick from the 8 lists under Start from a list names the sheet. September at School has 10 words of its own, from Picture and Smile for photo day to Drill, Club and Tardy. September Days holds 14, Labor, Pirate and Shofar among them, and September in History 14 more, from Magellan in 1519 to Penicillin in 1928.
From first grade to fifth
First graders start with Fir, Key and Lunch: Easy September is the 23 words of 3 to 5 letters, and More options holds the Large print that suits them. Fifth graders get Hard September, 20 words of 8 to 12 letters; Philadelphia and Emancipation need room, and the grid grows to hold them once Hard is pressed.
- For Constitution Day, pick September in History and tick Show clues, not words: Philadelphia is "where the Constitution was signed".
- Pick September at School, then type your mascot at the end of its 10 words under the grid: the grid redraws.
- After the equinox, the fall word search takes over with leaves, harvest words and the October list.
